(Connoisseur-Caliber) ("New Arrivals Gallery") Carpet-making within the Ferahan Sarouk pantheon was well established to meet the desires of both the domestic and international aristocracy during the 19th century. Their signature ambiance of graciousness combines grand formal elements with natural fluidity that sets this style apart. A resplendent “ripple effect” medallion acts as a supercharged organic engine driving the superabundant botanical activity in the field. There, every vine crackles with a luminous energy that encourages the incredible diversity of blooms to grow propitiously. Rivulets of aqua green wind their way through the corner spandrels to buoy delicate floral chains. Every part of this carpet reflects an artful control of visual elements based on an acute understanding of the effect a grand antique carpet can have on an interior. Like most Ferahan Sarouks, the border is a playground for novelty, allowing the weavers to showcase their cohesive spontaneity. This carpet has been happily preserved in very good pile condition overall.
