("New Arrivals Gallery") With its charismatic geometry and undeniable joie-de-vivre, this splendid room-sized antique carpet keeps the Heriz commitment to a casual ambiance filled with impactful artistry alive. An architecturally precise medallion crackles with an effusive energy through its kinetic botanical designs. Gigantic fiery fan palmette pendants sweep the field, stirring a wonderful melange of cubist flowers and foliage, stylized in this unmistakable northwest Persian style. This Heriz has a broad palette of effulgent carnelian, luminous royal and cobalt blue, with emerald and sea greens skillfully juxtaposed with lively corals and golden wheat for a chromatically satisfying effect. Flashes of wonderfully understated abrash gently introduce further harmonious hues throughout. Its animated border is unpretentious and playful with large-scale flowerheads attached to varied oak leaf forms, surrounded by a flurry of breeze-blown petals to increase this village carpet's cheerful naïveté. Happily, it has retained extremely good pile of superbly resilient wool.
