(Connoisseur-Caliber) In very unusual dimensions, this extraordinarily compelling palace-size Serapi carpet presents a level of refinement that is almost never found in extremely large village carpets and would be a superb underlayment for a stately dining table, passageway, or oversize sectional. Its potent palette reveals a superb command of both saturated and subtle colors, with the most energetic crimson ground beautifully augmented by astonishingly nuanced robin's egg blue, celadon, and pale rose accents. The highly desired, extremely creative all-over design is drawn with especially sharp clarity and abounds with dexterously balanced, highly inventive fringed rosettes, fluid fronds, and diminutive pinpoint blossoms. Delightfully, it has been maintained in heavier-pile condition throughout its more over 130 years of existence.
