Along with its very desirable 13x20 size, the clear ivory field and clearly drawn lines of this late 19th century Persian carpet are also infrequently found. It offers a profusion of finely articulated, stylized leaves that are spaciously arranged across its broad ground. Throughout, deeply saturated naturally dyed hues alternate with open, light sand tones, greatly enhancing the impact of this harmonious Oriental art carpet treasure, which has come to us in outstanding heavy pile condition.
