(High-Collectible)
At the great age of some 180 years old, this effortlessly elegant Laver Kirman rug is a real treasure, offering an equal level of lyricism and refinement as the larger rugs in this classical Persian style. A delicate, segmented eight-petal medallion recedes into the ethereal floral adornment of the deeply patinated wheat-toned field, expertly framed by the rich cranberry hue of ornate corner pieces in this naturally dyed antique rug. Breathtaking hues found only in very early rugs, such as potent apricot, peach, soft celadon and lavender are generously employed throughout. A graceful, flowing meander frames the composition with additional botanical detail, allowing this sublime rug's nuanced artistry to exert even greater allure.
