(High-Collectible) This 140-year-old Bakshaish is extraordinarily finely crafted and deeply artful. In fabulous condition, the result of being stored in private collection for much of its existence, it dramatically presents an unadorned field showcasing an extraordinary display of abrash, the intentional color striation created during the dyeing process. Intriguing idiosyncratic motifs in the spacious sapphire corner-pieces include folk art sunbursts and even deconstructed butterflies! Lightning-like vinery segments and elemental rosettes, pulsating with saturated color, greatly enhance the striking presence of this strongly collectible piece.
