Highly sophisticated in design, this antique Manchester Kashan palace-size oriental carpet presents a luxurious lamb's wool pile and a glowing salmon field. Manchester Kashan represent an elite subgroup of classical Persian carpets that feature extremely fine knotting, chiseled floral designs, a silken texture and soft, glowing hues. They are usually seen in the 4x6 to 10x14 range, and virtually never in carpets of great size.
