(High-Decorative) We have seen a couple of Kubas with this astonishingly fine and complex field design. Which village produced it is unknown, but both pieces we acquired were accomplished and spirited artworks for the patient viewer with the time to delve deeply enough into the constant changes in the vertical field pattern. The sprinkling of star motifs throughout the three row of ascending shrub designs contributes a dancing quality to this structured design. Against a cobalt field tone, apple green, sandstone, cerulean, auburn, and soft gold also seem to cavort, leaping forward like a dancer in a line, then retreat for another tone to grab the attention. The refinement of this piece cannot be understated and used in a home setting would bestow tremendous depth and interest wherever placed.
