(Connoisseur-Caliber)
Antique runners created by the nomadic Khamseh tribe of southwest Persia are almost unheard of, especially those with such totally individual artistic character springing from the desire for diversity. Alive with harmonious hues and reminiscent of a joyful, quilted surface, thirty-three jewel-faceted flowering plants are individually rendered, each with unique color juxtapositions to one another. Exceptional dye work has yielded arcane shades of celadon, boysenberry, intense saffron gold, amaranth and french rose with soaring sky blue hues. Its highly unusual carob-toned ground supports the rhythmic leaf green botanical latticing, while boldly decisive abrash color shifts - found even in the smallest petals - adds additional texture to this highly compelling runner, meant to transform an undistinguished hallway into an artfully bedecked promenade.
