Tremendously charming and in an extremely rare size, this outlier, early Caucasian Seichur Kuba captivates the viewer with its inspired composition that reveals a very personal and powerful rug. This stylistic iteration presents a field pattern of rosette-centered diamonds surrounded by totally abstract, geometricized palmettes. Tucked between these design constellations are spiky flowerheads, tiny cloudbands, and seldom seen 'Knots of Eternity.' Dramatic as well as gentle abrash tonal shifts color this piece with tremendous dimensionality and endless visual interest. The famous "Eagle's Head" or "Ocean Wave" border (one could argue both versions evoking those monikers are found here) brilliantly frames the striking interior world. Its superb condition allows it to be fully experienced as a functional floor covering or displayed in a place of pride on the wall.
