(High-Collectible)
A signature ambiance of graciousness that combines formal elements with spontaneous fluidity sets antique Ferahan Sarouk carpets apart. Governing the gentle parchment ground of this exceptionally accomplished carpet, a radiant centerpiece is interlaced with teal vinery and a fiery perimeter. What may initially appear as vines are actually two pairs of sinuous flowering trees growing from lotus flowers, winding around the muscular medallion and pendant suite. This subtle tension via scale creates great balance and visual interest. It is rare to see realistically depicted and relatively un-stylized botanic motifs in this genre. A nimble and prodigious vocabulary of naturally dyed colors invigorates every irrepressible bud and bloom. The incandescent main border displays magnificently detailed flowerheads bracketed by pairs of quill-like leaves. Durable, lustrous wool has allowed for luminosity and superb pile condition.
