Offering an entrancing depiction of the prized Garden of Paradise motif, this ethereal carpet generates a sublime, lyrical atmosphere. Evocative floral imagery floats within a sand-toned negative space as a delegation of distinctively rendered peonies, irises, lilies, almond blossoms, and cypress trees create a fascinating visual chemistry in this incredibly artful allover pattern. Doves shaded in burnt sienna heighten the enchanting ambiance by perching atop many of the cypresses almost imperceptibly and are easily mistaken for feathery leaves awaiting discovery. Upon closer inspection, the viewer realizes that a subdued palette of natural tones in exquisitely varied shades, including olive, rose gold, carnelian, robin’s egg blue, and delicate celadon blush, are used to gently enliven the scene without detracting from the earthy chromatic beauty. The paradisiacal garden continues in the rhythmic border suite. This fascinating city weaving is not only entrancing but also offers extremely durable heavier pile.
