This is a superb, unusually finely woven representative of the beloved Indian Amristar style in the elongated oversize format. It possesses continual, subtly rendered color shading and delicate tracery in its all-over design. Its subtly tonalities of gold, bronze, and pale lavender against a warm cream field make for an understated, highly sophisticated ambiance. At nearly 150 years of age, its condition shows good pile and only minor signs of use.
