(High-Decorative) In this exceedingly handsome antique Senneh Persian rug, a very appealing texture and dimensionality is created by rows of graceful botehs (a precursor to the paisley design) surrounded by abstract floral sprays. Enclosing this ‘infinite’ field of seed-forms is a powerfully geometricized main border depicting an elemental interpretation of the classic arabesque border pattern. An extremely luminous shade of crimson red is particularly endearing. Excellent condition makes this antique rug extremely versatile as well.
