Created in a tribal village nearly 150 years ago, this delightful camelhair runner features a visually engaging composition that incorporates age-old designs along with intricate, cleverly improvised geometric motifs. A series of single and double medallions contain exploded view Herati patterns along the length. Embedded sections of a Kufic border are found alongside numerous esoteric devices. A flock of colorful avifauna in profile is scattered throughout the labyrinthine design. Aubergine, oxblood, bright gold, coral, and walnut are harmoniously integrated with skillfully apportioned jade that lightens to jungle green from one end to the other. Abrash color shifts and the varied shades used in outlining add to the depth and artistry of this alluring. A wide unadorned margin aptly corrals the energetic interior. Superb pile condition assures that this glittering runner will add pizazz to any passageway for decades.
