This unique, virtuoso representative presents an incredible showcase of skillfully applied chiaroscuro and contrasting techniques applied to its unusually prescient "modern" palette of quiet hues. Featuring the beloved Mina Khani allover pattern--with burnt umber and coffee-toned rosettes, and tea-washed almond blossoms--the field design incorporates inspired rose-colored curling tendrils as well encircling fanlike lilies. Dusky accents of gold, apricot, and lavender provide an important illuminating note to the overall palette, perfectly balancing the earthier shades with their inviting tones. Enhanced by the natural glow of top-quality wool, this 120-year-old rug shimmers with patina and will contribute to an understated and profound effect wherever it is placed.
